Summary

March PNSN Meeting The focus of this next meeting was not yet decided, with the possibility of showing a recording of Pittsburgh’s Dr. Joyce presentation or having an open discussion.  Rebecca Hotop mentioned a Pilates appointment where she could discuss with a physical therapist and possibly contribute some ideas.  New Book Titles Rebecca showed two new books for inclusion in On Your Feet. She will send details to Jud.  Future presentation by Dr. Katani They team also discussed a meeting with Dr. Al Katani on March 20 Chevy Chase meeting, with the possibility of Rebecca Hotop attending. Action: ongoing

ChatGPT Account Towards the end, Pat mentioned a 30% off offer for ChatGPT. It was agreed that she will try to receive the discount using the PNSN debit card.  Seton Hill Research A research study being conducted by students in the PT department at Seton Hill University. Action: Jud will post story that Bill sent in Footnotes.

Health Focus Expansion and Helene’s Struggles

Helaine’s Struggles The group discussed the challenges faced by a member, Helaine Zonderman, who was struggling with pain and had been awake for many days. Bill Porter, who had reached out to her, reported that she was doing better after their conversation.  Bigger Than Just PN The conversation then shifted to the idea of expanding their focus to include lifestyle aspects related to health and aging, rather than being strictly neuropathy-specific. The idea of inviting a geriatrician or a dietitian to speak was proposed. The group also mentioned the potential of creating a blog section for health-related articles.

Technical Support and Pain Relief Options

The team discussed a user named John who was experiencing difficulties with his website username and password. They decided to reach out to him for support.  Rebecca Hotop confirmed upcoming meetings and webinars, including one she would miss due to a personal commitment. Jud also discussed technical issues with a computer user named John.

• Pat will send an email to the group about the March 20th meeting and Dr. Al Katani’s presentation.

• Rebecca will take a picture of the book covers and send them to Jud.
