Brenda Cheadle mentioned the OSHER Life Long Learning Institutes (OLLI) at the March PNSN meeting. OLLI is a member-organization that sponsors educational classes on a variety of topics for adults over 50. Offerings are non-credit with no tests or grades.
Most of the OLLI opportunities are offered through colleges and universities across the country. They include lectures, study groups, and special events, both in-person and on-line.
Hundreds of courses are being offered, including titles such as Introduction to Psychology, History of Chinese wars, and a look back at Rock n’ Roll years 1958-1961. The specific offerings are depend upon local institutions.
These opportunities fit in well with our January meeting theme of keeping active and engaged.
To find out more, search your favorite university to see if they participate. Here is a list of participating schools and institutions.
